Music charity the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) has announced a second 2022 addition to its roster in collaboration with its North American partner, the New-York based Concert Artists Guild (CAG). Clarinet player Jonathan Leibovitz and soprano Magdalena Kuzma will be jointly represented by both YCAT and CAG.

YCAT’s final auditions, held at Wigmore Hall on 19 May, culminated in the addition of clarinet player Jonathan Leibovitz (pictured below) to the charity’s roster. CAG’s online finals took place last week (25 May) with soprano Magdalena Kuzma chosen for representation.

CAG president Tanya Bannister said: ‘I am thrilled that our shared artists have this international opportunity that gives professional career support, concert management and networking on both sides of the Atlantic.’

The partnership between YCAT and CAG was launched in 2019, following the success of YCAT artists Jamal Aliyev and Tabea Debus at CAG’s 2019 competition.

YCAT chief executive and artistic director, Alasdair Tait said: ‘It is really inspiring to be finally able to bring this new partnership to life, with our first live auditions since launching our partnership in 2019. I am delighted that both Magdalena and Jonathan are now joining our shared roster of artists and we are so looking forward to helping them both develop and grow what I know are going to be truly significant performing careers.’

The two shared artists will receive support including artist management, publicity, marketing and digital support designed to help them navigate cultural marketplaces on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as performance opportunities in both the UK and US.
