Only Stage Conducting Competition winners announced

The competition, which launched in January, is a collaboration between Only Stage Management Company and Classics Management Budapest.
The winners of the first edition of the Only Stage International Conducting Competition have been announced. They are:
- 1st prize – Vlad Vizireanu, Romania
- 2nd prize – Yu-Kuang Jin, China
- 3rd prize – Hermes Helfricht, Germany
- Special prize – Alejandra Urrutia
- Special prize – Anton Torbeev
The competition was open throughout spring to musicians of any nationality and any age.
The jury included Andrea Amarante, artistic director at Luzerner Sinfonieorchester; John Axelrod, conductor; Oleg Caetani, conductor; Zvonimir Hacko, conductor and artistic director at Oregon Music Festival, USA; Michael Rosewell, director of Opera at the Royal College of Music, and others.
