Rapid testing key to venues reopening, says vaccines minister

The government's vaccine minister Nadhim Zahawi has stated that rapid testing will be crucial for reopening sports and entertainment venues in England
On BBC Radio 4's Today programme, he said: 'It’s a combination of rapid testing as well as the mass vaccination programme that will get our economy back on its feet and venues open again.'
The news comes as leading music industry figures push for the resumption of outdoor performing arts, as the nation begins to consider ways out of lockdown.
Boris Johnson is due to set out a roadmap for the easing of national lockdown on 22 February.
