Soprano Milly Forrest wins 69th ROSL annual music competition Singers Prize

Forrest has now secured a place at the Gold Medal Final on 24 November 2021.
Soprano Milly Forrest has won the Singers Prize category of the 69th Royal Over-Seas League annual music competition.
This year’s line-up for the Section Final featured soprano Sophie Sparrow, tenor Ted Black, soprano Ella Taylor, as well as Forrest, who battled it out for the £5,000 prize and a place in the competition's finals.
The adjudicators were James Baillieu, Mhairi Lawson, Njabulo Madlala, and Geoff Parkin.
Forrest studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music with professors Alison Wells, Kathleen Livingstone, Caroline Dowdle and Gary Matthewman. Since 2019 she has been a Young Artist of Garsington Opera covering roles and being part of Chorus.
The Singers Prize is one of seven categories in the ROSL music competition. All category winners will compete for the top prize on 24 November.
