Vache Baroque opens auditions for 2024 programme

Applications are open for productions across the Buckinghamshire-based opera company's 2024 programme, as well as for its History of Sound engagement programme
Buckinghamshire-based opera company, Vache Baroque has launched auditions for its 2024 programme. This round of auditions will determine the cast for the company’s 2024 opera production Pergolesi’s The Olympiad, for its educational workshop-show A History of Sound and for the rest of the 2024 programme, which is yet to be announced.
Auditions are open to professional singers and singer-actors of all voice types for paid roles in the opera, solo, ensemble and engagement programme positions. Applications can be made online via the Vache Baroque website and must be submitted by 18 January. Auditions for the company’s James Bowman Young Artist Programme are will also be announced in the coming weeks.
For Vache Baroque’s A History of Sound programme, the company is looking for four SATB performers to join its interactive musical-theatrical experience delivered to Key Stage 2 children at state primary schools across Bucks, Slough and Brent. Performers looking to join the programme, applicants will need to submit a CV, a few sentences about why they’d like to work with Vache Baroque and a recording of any vocal piece, plus a dramatic delivery of the text of that piece.
In order to apply for roles within the 2024 programme, singers will need to submit a CV, a few sentences about why they’d like to work with Vache Baroque, and an audio recording of any Baroque-era aria or song. Successful applicants will be invited to audition days held in central London in late January and early February.
