City Music Foundation (CMF) has opened applications for the 2022 intake of its two-year programme. The initiative aims to support solo and ensemble musicians who are early in their professional classical, jazz, folk and world music careers.
CMF welcomes applications from artists early in their career, regardless of instrument or genre and aims to support them during the fragile early stages of their professional careers, helping them gain recognition within the music industry.
Once selected, CMF artists will begin the foundation’s career development programme in autumn this year. The programme aims to help artists achieve a secure and sustainable future in the profession.
As well as performance opportunities, selected artists will receive artistic and project management, mentoring in artistic and business skills and career development workshops. They will also receive promotional tools including new websites, professional photographs, high quality video and audio recordings and professional quality CDs on the CMF label as well as new works commissioned for them.
The CMF team will also promote programme artists in print, online and on radio as well as offering day-to-day support.
The application deadline is 5pm 22 April. You can apply online at the CMF website.
