Ensemble Symphony Orchestra will bring its ‘Discovering Morricone: An orchestral tribute to a musical legend’ concert to the UK for a four-date tour in March

After a series of successful concerts in Italy, Ensemble Symphony Orchestra is set to bring its Discovering Morricone programme to the UK for the first time. The concert, which presents an orchestral tribute to legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone, will feature live performances of Morricone’s iconic scores for films including Once Upon a Time in the West, Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, The Mission and Malèna.
This production will debut in the UK at The Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh (2 March 2025), before travelling to London’s Cadogan Hall (3 March), Manchester’s Stoller Hall (4 March) and Birmingham Town Hall (5 March). The programme is led by conductor Giacomo Loprieno and produced by Italy's Ensemble Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with Tokyo-based concert production company SOHO Live. The evening will also feature performances by soprano Anna Delfino and Cirque du Soleil violinist Attila Simon, as well as narration by actor and director Andrea Bartolomeo.
Founded in 2009 as Orchestra Sinfonica di Massa e Carrara, the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra has performed over 600 concerts across the globe and collaborated with artists from Andrea Bocelli to Sting. The ensemble has been performing programmes in tribute to Morricone since October 2018, celebrating the composer’s career which boasts more than 500 soundtracks, 70 million records sold, six Oscars, three Grammys, four Golden Globes, and a Golden Lion.
