The film is based on La Chasse, by Renaissance composer Clément Janequin.

I Fagiolini has partnered with Born Free and will donate a third of all proceeds to the wildlife charity.

Produced by Polyphonic Films and shot a week before the first pandemic lockdown, the film will be released online on 26th December to coincide with the traditional Boxing Day hunt, which has been widely cancelled this year due to Covid-19.

I Fagiolini music director Robert Hollingworth said, 'This piece is like the soundtrack to a madcap Brueghel scene: it’s as if someone has just turned off the mute button. Everything is happening at once. It’s in old French, it’s terrifying to perform — one of the mentally most virtuosic things we’ve ever done — and quite unlike anything else of the period. I love it!'
