Nefeli Chadouli and Wilson Ng will gain immersive experience with the orchestra throughout the 2025-26 season

The London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) has announced that Nefeli Chadouli and Wilson Ng will join the orchestra as its fellow conductors for the 2025-26 season. The two early-career conductors will spend the season fully immersed in the Orchestra under the guidance of LPO principal conductor Edward Gardner, attending rehearsals and concerts and taking on conducting opportunities with the LPO and its Rising Talent ensembles.
Greek conductor Nefeli Chadouli joins the LPO fresh from her September 2024 debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra. Born in Athens, Chadouli studyied piano and violin, before completing a Master’s degree in Conducting at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. She balances her new role with her work as Taki Alsop conducting associate fellow for 2024-26 and as permanent conductor at the Babylon Orchestra Berlin. In June 2024, she also became Conductor of the Berlin-Brandenburgisches Sinfonieorchester.
LPO artistic director Elena Dubinets said: ‘I am thrilled to see our new talent development programme generating such remarkable enthusiasm within the music community. Having received more than 200 applications from around the world, we have carefully selected two exceptionally talented early-career conductors through a rigorous audition and interview process involving the entire Orchestra. As they join us next season, we will immerse them in every facet of the Orchestra’s work, providing invaluable opportunities for growth. We eagerly anticipate welcoming them into our musical family.’
Hong Kong-born Wilson Ng became the youngest conductor ever appointed with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra when he became associate conductor aged just 28 in 2018. Ng Ng was appointed principal guest conductor of South Korea’s Hankyung Arte Philharmonic in 2023. He also co-founded aboutMusic Foundation, which provides free international-level music education for underprivileged students in Hong Kong, as well as the Gustav Mahler Orchestra in Hong Kong, and Musicians without Borders, immersing the audience among the musicians. He balances his new role with his Edo de Waart Conductorship with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
