The two new recruits will join the service's senior management team working with newly-promoted CEO, Nina Laricheva

Arts and culture streaming service Marquee TV has announced the appointment of Cecilia Beacon as vice president of content & marketing and Tom Cape as chief product officer. Beacon and Cape will complete the service’s senior management team, reporting to newly-promoted CEO, Nina Laricheva.
The news follows the US launch of Marquee TV on Amazon Prime earlier this year, and further partnerships with third party platforms are expected to be forged in 2022. These include a partnership with Amazon Prime UK, where Marquee TV is now available.
Laricheva welcomes the appointments and expansion. She said: Beacon and Cape’s ‘combined experience, strategic thinking and passion for what we do will prove invaluable as Marquee TV continues its global expansion.’
Launched in 2018, Marquee TV has been dubbed ‘Netflix for the arts’ with partnerships with organisations including the Teatro Real, Glyndebourne Festival, Royal Opera House, Teatro alla Scala, the London Symphony Orchestra.
Beacon has over 25 years of experience in the TV and on demand sector with senior roles at IPC Media Publishing, Universal, Paramount, Fox and National Geographic. To join Marquee TV she will be leaving her current role as senior vice president of programming & marketing at BBC studios.
Having worked on the development of Channel 4’s first online TV service (4oD), Cape is a pioneer of on demand streaming, founding on demand development business, Capablue and gaining experience as a consultant and interim executive across the sector.
