Naxos Music has taken on the UK and Ireland distribution of ECM Records and its New Series imprint

Independent record label Edition of Contemporary Music (ECM) has joined forces with Naxos, who will now oversee the distribution of its CDs and records across the UK and Ireland.
Founded in 1987 as a recording label, Naxos has gone on to become a global music group, showing agility as it embraced streaming, licensing and logistics. It is one of the leading distributors in the UK, managing the movement of physical copies for labels including Ondine, SWR Classic and Opus Arte, among others.
The first album on ECM's New Series imprint has just been rereleased on vinyl
ECM, founded by Manfred Eicher in 1969, has produced ground-breaking recordings by Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea and Meredith Monk. The ECM catalogue was enhanced by the new series in 1984, which featured Arvo Pärt’s Tabula rasa on its debut disc – newly released on vinyl.
'Everyone at Naxos Music UK is really excited about our new partnership with ECM,' said Tom Wooldridge Stevens, managing director. 'This visionary label has set new standards in recorded music-making, elevating jazz and contemporary classical music without ever compromising on artistic integrity. We look forward to working with this unique catalogue, ground-breaking musical artists.'
