Double bass player Strahinja Mitrovic and violinist Mabelle Park jointly receive the award which recognises the ‘most promising’ talent among the Musicians’ Company’s award winners

The Musicians’ Company has announced that double bass player Strahinja Mitrovic and violinist Mabelle Park have been jointly awarded the company’s Prince’s Prize for 2025. The two winners were chosen following a final round concert held at the Music Hall of Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Mitrovic and Park beat fellow finalists Emanuele Addis (lute), Marvin Beli (piano) and Georgi Dimitrov (guitar) to impress a panel of adjudicators comprising pianists Deniz Arman Gelenbe and Berendina Norton MBE and former Royal Opera House executive producer Ben Pateman.
The panel’s decision that the award should be shared between Mitrovic and Park sees them each receive £2,500 and a Prince’s Prize Silver Medal, while Park also receives the £500 Audience Prize.
Established to mark the installation of The former Prince of Wales as an Honorary Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians in 2003, the Prince’s Prize aims to recognise ‘the most promising young instrumentalist or singer from the Company’s award winners’.
Mitrovic adds the Prince’s Prize to a list of accolades including the Gold Medal at the Guildhall School of Music, which he is the only double bassist to ever win, and the title of ‘rising star’ in Classic FM’s 30 Under 30 List. Park holds this latest award alongside the Royal Overseas League String Prize, which she won in March.
