noisenights launches new season plus partnership with Warner Classics

Community interest company through the noise has announced the return of noisenights. Returning for its third year the crowdfunded classical gig series will launch a new partnership with classical music label Warner Classics.

The 2023 series will be through the noise’s biggest ever, expanding across 22 venues in nine cities. Noisenights will take place in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Newcastle, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Brighton and London this year, with venues including Camden’s KOKO club, a Tyneside warehouse, and a wind turbine factory in Liverpool’s dockside hosting classical events for the first time.

through the noise co-founder and artistic director Jack Bazalgette said: ‘We see today as a turning point: after two years of steadily growing demand for our grassroots classical gigs in London and our first two sold-out tours, we’ve decided to take the plunge and bring regular noisenights to audiences from Glasgow to Brighton… Every single performer we’re hosting has the rare power to move and inspire people, and I can’t wait to give more audiences the chance to experience them up close’

This autumn’s noisenight season will feature talent including Manchester Collective, guitarist Alexandra Whittingham, jazz bass player Misha Mullov-Abbado, pianists Junyan Chen and Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, Lodestar Trio and violinist Braimah Kanneh-Mason. Soprano Fatma Said and cellist and improviser Abel Selaocoe will return to the series as part of a new partnership between through the noise and Warner Classics, and fellow Warner artist guitarist Thibaut Garcia will make his noisenights debut.
